Review - I've found this book to be incredibly helpful as it walks you through all of the different stages and types of research and explains what each one is and gives you tips for carrying out research in easily digestible chunks, with plenty of sub-headings and bullet pointed lists. There is no complicated language and everything is explained succinctly, and with plenty of examples listed in tables, which I found helpful when trying to decide what type of research my project falls under. This book makes the whole process sound much easier and less daunting than I initially thought it would be and it's made me more confident.

I love my work as a social researcher so when my daughter brought this book home from school, I had to read it. This is a great starting point and introduction. It doesn’t offer depth, and it doesn’t claim to.
Researchers can sometimes overcomplicate often simple things such as sampling techniques. This book explains the basics easily using plain language. A really good place to start.
A little bit too simple, though that would give me more information. As a PhD student didn't help me much. But I believe that would be good for who does not know at all the topic.
This book offered a lot more structure on methodology which the last dissertation book i read. Though it is framed from a UK perspective I found it highly useful. Thank You!
