What a wonderful mixed bag in the best sense. The journalist Gabriele Goettle interviews a truly diverse set of people under the title "Experts": There's those whom you might expect under this moniker: academics, scientists, engineers. Less expectable additions are craftsmen like a miller, a midwife, a taxidermist. Other professions represented are prostitute, blind people's teacher, bomb squad member, sewage worker, toy factory owner. Goettle gives voices to all these diverse people, and puts their voices into the center: 80 % of the texts are literal quotes of the people interviewed. She adds her observations on the surroundings the interviewed people work and live in (if possible, she's always taking a look at both of these places).
