Reading this felt like reading my journal entries from 30 years ago. Silly. Surface-y. A little stream of consciousness. Not awful but not great. Unlikely that I will read more by this author. The ending is pretty absurd.

Es un libro que me ha encantado, a veces se me hacia algo largo, pero al final ha sido una lectura entretenida y llena de sentimientos, la escritora consigue que sientas lo que ella quiera 💖

Marian Keyes is one of my favorite authors. I know few others who can take the serious challenges of life, place us in the midst of pain and angst, and help us laugh.

Lucy Sullivan, single and living in London with several room-mates, has terrible taste in men. The book begins with Lucy and co-workers going to a fortune teller. Their fates are laid out before them.

Not too long after Lucy meets Gus. An affable and easy going person, who charms everyone in sight. Lucy and Gus strike up a relationship of sorts. As the story unfolds it becomes clear why Gus might be the one for Lucy, and many of the reasons are questionable.

Meanwhile, a lifelong friend, Daniel, remains a constant... until he dates Lucy's room-mate. Daniel and Gus in the same house proves challenging to friendships of all sorts.

An excellent read.
