It’s a hot summer day at the water park, but it’s cool to find blue! BLUE bottles, buckets, slides, and sky make learning about the color blue easy and fun.
I love bright, happy books that show loving families and this is one of them.
** Talking Points: What do you like to do in the summertime? Do you like swimming? What is your favorite color? Is there anything you don't like about public swimming Pools?
** Essential Oil Pairing Tip: I'm diffuse doTERRA's Citrus Bliss while reading this book, It's an oil that reminds me of summertime.
The genre of this book is nonfiction and it for age N. This book is about the different colors and how they can be used in different ways with different things. I gave this book three stars because I really liked the fact that they added extra illustrations such as the color wheel, and activities. This is a good teaching book for children because it is interactive for the kids. Of course since the book is about color, the illustrations are great. Nice vibrant colors. Along with teaching the colors it helps to teach what certain things may be by the color that they are. "Splish, Splash, and Blue" is overall great teaching tool. I do recommend this for parents or teachers trying to or get a small child interested in learning here colors.
This book did what it said it would do. It focused on the color blue when it came a day at the water park. I think sometimes the illistration needed to be prodominate about what was being talked about. i.e. the towel or sunblock bottle. I also wish we had more "blue" things than the sky and water. Those are so hard to show kids and have them point out. Other than that, pretty good.
