Laurence Valentine Lloyd—better known as Larry—was one of the toughest, most uncompromising players of the 1970s. He was with Liverpool when they stormed to a League and UEFA Cup double in 1973 and was part of Nottingham Forest's late 1970s infamous Brick Wall defence.
