He has written over 50 books, both fiction and non-fiction.
I originally wrote a glowing review of this book, but after reading Gary DeMar's book, I must say that I am mostly convinced that the views in this book (previously mine) are wrong. I've been confused and looking for answers for a while, and while I thought this book explained what I already thought to be the truth well (it is an intriguing plot offered), I realize that there were at least a couple of seeming leaps of logic; whereas in DeMar's book, he solidly backed up his arguments with loads of scripture that plainly refuted LaHaye's positions. It would seem that sometimes, the truth really is simple. As I wrote in my review of DeMar's book, he is not the first author I've read who refutes the rapture, but he is the first author who has taken me off the fence about the issue. At the very least, I am more resolved to read my Bible more regularly to earnestly seek the truth for myself.
I was at a loss as to how to update the rating, but I gave it 2 stars for its entertainment value. I may read it again with more attention to the few scripture references that LaHaye provides, to see if he has any leg to stand on. I looked at the supporting scripture early in the book, but slacked off as I continued. That is not a good way to find truth, as man is flawed and God is not.
Nicely charted and easy to understand. It’s biblically based and there’s not a thing wrong with the book, but The Nonprophet’s Guide To The End Times has so much more information.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and learning this material. If you are seeking a better understanding of the times in which we live, I would encourage you to read this book. You don't want to be left behind.
I treasure this book. In fact, if I had to pare down to just five books to keep, this would be one of them.
It is the most useful and easy to understand end-times book in my library. I appreciate the sheer volume of topics covered, with every point backed up by bible verses. Lots of helpful visual aids and clearly presented.
I don't believe it's in print anymore, but I have been able to buy them on ebay to give to friends.
This book is a great help to me in leading the women's bible study at church. It covers more than just end-times, it also covers questions about what happens when we die, ...
This is the second time I've read this book and I found so many points I'd forgotten. What a wonderful book, filled with hope for the future! Definitely a favorite and one to be re-read.
I got this book initially because of a class I was taking on Revelation. Finished the class, but wasn't quite done with the book. It is very interesting and I would highly recommend it.
