This book leaves a reader with tons of activities to incorporate purposeful movement into lessons tied to academics while supporting a novel teacher with classroom management suggestions. In addition, the book describes the importance of movement through a neurodevelopment lens and emphasizes the importance of developing a child holistically.

Anyone who needs further proof that we need to be moving more should read this. If you're a teacher and still afraid to use brain breaks in your classroom, There are many strategies in this book to help you out.

The Kinesthetic Classroom: Teaching and Learning Through Movement is a great resource for adding movement activities to the classroom. It is a great introduction to the Six Purposes of Movement. It includes lots of practical and easy-to-introduce ideas that can be used immediately.

WOW! I started implementing these strategies and absolutely love it! My students are more engaged and have a lot more fun. The principles make sense and are laid out easily. All educators should check this book out!
