Mara knew it was a bad idea to plagiarize her paper. So when she gets caught by her professor, she expects to get expelled. But unfortunately - or fortunately? - Professor Murray has other ideas in mind for the student he's always desired...
***A sexy novelette featuring a very bad professor, light bondage, and some fun with food!***
The first standalone book in a series featuring drop-dead sexy guys who make very indecent proposals to the women they want.
When I manage to tear myself away from taking Buzzfeed quizzes and watching unhealthy amounts of TV, I write romance and smut. My works feature alpha males, sexy times, and/or my sarcastic sense of humor.
I hail from Cleveland, aka the best freaking city in the world, and believe LeBron James is the perfect human being. Despite all of my efforts, I have never truly been able to quit caffeine. My favorites include Taylor Swift, Florence + the Machine, and SHINee. I love to hate/hate to love k-dramas. If I say I’m on a diet, I’m just lying to you and myself. One of these days, I'm going to get hypertension from an excess of salt, both literal and figurative. If I'm awkward around you, I probably don't know what to say to you and/or I think you're hot. And despite what anyone says, Forrest Gump so deserved that Oscar over Pulp Fiction.

Very short professor and student story. Mara is caught plagiarizing a paper she submitted and is called to the professor’s office where he offers her an opportunity to not have her expelled. This story went hot and heavy very quickly.
Thank the Lord this was a freebie on Kindle, because I would have regretted wasting money on this!
In all honesty I have no idea why in hell I continued to read this. This book should have a trigger warning sign of Sexual Harassment on it.
What you need to know about this novella: • The Professor - Jesse, is an asshole, self-entitled and not to mention controlling, • The Student - Mara, is an absolute idiot and has no self-control, • Their relationship is solely based on blackmail, • The spice was just meh.
This was not my book. I haven’t read much m-f erotica, so maybe I’m to hard in my judgement. This book skirted the edges of abuse (maybe even rape) because the student in question did not agree, but also just let herself be taken as if she had no other choice. If that is your thing, you should read this book and you will enjoy and probably get your juices flowing.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The "relationship" in this book is based purely on physical attraction, with no deeper connection whatsoever. In addition to that, the "hero" sexually assaults the heroine throughout the story. Book summary should have made this clear with a trigger warning.
4.5 stars- Super short but hot! Phew, kindle-melting hot
Sometimes I love to read taboo romance and this one definitely fits the bill (plus, it was free so even better).
Mara is a college student and is in a philosophy class with a really hot, fit professor (Jesse). When he asks to see him in his office after class, she realizes she got caught- she plagiarized an essay that was due the week before. Because she was 5 hours away taking care of her drunk mother, she resorted to plagiarizing to get her paper done.
When she follows him to his office, the tension between them builds. There’s chemistry and he capitalizes on it. He proposes to not tell the dean about the plagiarism as long as she sleeps with him. She’s “forced” to say yes (more like persuaded cause she was enjoying it all) and their deal begins.
Oh man... it was scorching! 🥵😅. Although the professor is an a****** for proposing this, he’s actually interested in her and has never done this before. Even though she says “no,” she craves his attention and body constantly. This was definitely incredibly erotic even though it was short.
I wish it was longer 😩. I feel like I just got a taste of what could’ve been an amazing full-length book. But, I loved every single page-There wasn’t any excess fluff or conflict. I like this author’s style, so it won’t be my last book by her.
This was the worst book ever, like is just grape pretending that isn’t grape plus Stockholm Syndrome, the main girl had potential but there was one line of plot and the rest was just sex. Please don’t read this
It was a very quick and easy read. But I disliked how rushed it was and the shut felt weird and quickly done with. I didn't care for the characters at all.
OFFICE HOURS has nothing to do with Turkey Day, but I just happened to finish editing it at 5 in the morning, so here it is! You can pick up a copy on Smashwords and/or Kindle for only 99 cents!
Is it me, or does that picture look like a really huge nipple next to her face? I still can't figure out what it's supposed to be after reading the book. The professor in this book is a "Harvey Weinstein" character but much handsomer.
Sidenote: if H.W. had been an over-the-top, handsome, hunk of a man, would all of the women he molested have willingly gone along with his play for sex, like all the "men-in-authority" genres ( billionaires, bosses, professors, step-daddies, step-brothers, alien princes/generals, rough bikers/construction/cowboys, alpha shifters, or alpha any guys) we all read? Do we really want to be dominated? Or is it the hot, hard, sweaty sex we're after? Would a nerdy guy (weak, skinny, scraggly) be able to give us the same satisfaction, so long as he knew how lap pussy, had a big enough dong, and knew how to use it?
These are questions I ask myself when reading dark stories or really bad stories.
Anyway... my review is longer than the book. Does anyone read these low level reviews besides me? Back to topic - He uses a poorly written, plagarized, paper the freshman, 18 year old student hands in to manipulate her into having sex. That is NOT okay with me. A female writer should know better than to write that kind of junk. That's actually little better than statutory rape, as many 18 year old girls are not sophisticated enough to stand up to an authority figure. Even in this day and age. Girls who consider themselves "good" don't buck their bosses.
THIS IS WHAT I WANTED, OAKY? THIS IS THE PASTELS: Hot professor/student, exciting stakes, fantastic *descriptive* sex, page after page erotica.
AND THIS IS WHAT I GOOOOT: Literal fucking rape and coercion until the very Stockholmed end. And I’m not even lying, you can’t even say it’s dubious consent or CNC. It is straight up “I don’t want this” and his response “well you came and enjoyed it” — nonononononononono. Sex was 1-2 sentences of “he went inside her, she screamed, he panted, she came, he came, done.” How fantastically boring…
The dialogue was awful, absolutely horrendous. Stop saying her wet heat was falling out that’s.. ew. I had so much hope for great prof/student 😭. The entire story was “I don’t want this”/“well you came so we’re doing it again”. The racist aunt? “Screamed the n-word at defenseless children.” Pack it up, I’m out.
Usually I can just read the smut and move along but for under 30 pages can we at least put it as sexual assault and blackmail? This isn’t a slow burn power dynamic, it’s just a man in power using that power to assault students.
This is blatant sexual assault and it’s quoted “silence is affirmation”…. No. Also what on earth is with the “tasted coffee and peppermint on his breath”?! If everything else wasn’t a buzzkill the coffee breath sure was. If that wasn’t enough his disappointment of her not being on the pill in order to cum inside her…. I mean I guess we can respect he didn’t just do it anyways?
1.5. This was such an odd story. Like the writing itself wasn't bad actually, but the subject? The plot? The characters? Terrible. There isn't really a lot of consent in this story either (she's blackmailed into fucking her professor sooo...???) and that made me extremely uncomfortable. I'm sure there are some people out there who wouldn't be as bothered by it, but it wasn't for me... at all.
This didn’t just skirt the hate sex thing it was actual sexual assault. The female character was very vocal about not wanting to have sex and the man blackmails her only to say it’s because he loves her!!!
It was kinda a let down. I grabbed this book expecting like this great story and was left feeling bored. They had a okay story line going then it just fell down to the side. Wasn't my best read and definitely could have been a bit more descriptive.
Just when it was getting really good, it was over. ☹️ I need more of this couple! In all seriousness, it was a quick read and I enjoyed it. Just wished it was longer!
I’m hoping this is AI slop. The idea of a human being sat in front of a computer and this pouring out of their finger tips gives me chills, in the worst way possible. I regret the half hour it took me to read the entire thing.
