"“A little girl has run onto the race track and Jayme Kent is starting her race with Star. Star has stopped.”

Jayme and her family had driven to the Stock Show and Rodeo in San Antonio. Jayme, also was going to ride with Daddy in the calf tie-down competition. Jayme easily won the barrel race after the sudden delay because the little girl walked onto the track. Star stopped and all was well. Later the veterinarian’s examination revealed some swelling in Star’s right front leg. This discouraged us from having her run in anymore barrel races.

Parties and boys were an increasing part of Jayme’s life climaxed with a joyful After-Prom celebration at Jayme’s house. Parties and boys were an increase part of Jayme’s life climaxed with a joyful After-Prom celebration at Jayme’s house.

Jayme and two friends, Jean and Alice played basketball together from the time they could hold a basketball through three years of college and three state championships, and for Jayme a life long relationship with Frank captain of the boy’s basketball team.

Jayme’s daughter Jayda found music was her love. Playing the clarinet, composing and accompanying the choir showed off her talents and led her to a lifetime relationship with, John, a fellow clarinet player and heir to the family ranch.

Growing though the years from grade school, through high school, college, marriage and rearing a family brought many interesting and at times difficult experiences and challenges. Jayme and Jayda made them with flying colors."
