For those of you that don't read westerns, but would like to try one, Mike Blakely would be a good place to start. His novels are well written and he tries to stay historically accurate with his fiction. He is from Texas and this is the area he usually writes about. His characters are always well developed and his plots always interesting. Give him a try !
