I was just looking for some poetry books on Amazon and came across this.. About a year ago I got diagnosed with OCD(honestly I thought it was just adult ADHD for some time). Heck so little media I came across with characters that had it made it sound like just "gotta be clean" and/or "attention for detail makes it perfect for solving crimes". That i just figured thats all it was (of course theres the here and there i caught actual stuff about it, but still it was SO rare. That i just kinda brushed it off) So I figured hey why not read something written by people WITH IT. Im happy i found it. Though some stuff kinda triggered mine to be kinda worse for a day or so but that was just me. Who knows im happy I read it and found others out there wanting to express their takes and struggles on it.
Wow, I never rated this. Ok, a bit biased as I am one of the co-writers, but this book will always hold such a special place in my heart. This is the only book of its kind; comprised of short stories, poems, and the like, all about OCD; by a lovely group of writers with lived experience. It’s beautiful and agonizing. Comforting and inspiring. Highly recommend to not only all who live with, but those who love someone with OCD. Plus a part of the proceeds go to OCD charities!
