When the farmer says he's too old to play the Easter Bunny for his grandchildren, Minnie and Moo decide to take matters into their own hooves and find a replacement. But Elvis the rooster isn't interested. Hamlet the pig has to ask his mother (just as soon as he finds her). And the sheep simply won't hop. Can Minnie and Moo save Easter?

A re-read by Neo, using his 'read-along' audiobook discovery!
A very short chapter book about a set of cows who try to save the Easter Bunny tradition for the farmer's grandchildren. Many animals are asked to help, though none seem to rush out. In the end, it is a surprise for all, especially the children. Neo asked why anyone would be the Easter Bunny other than the actual titled entity? *crickets chirping* Ummm.... "let's get to those chores now, Neo!" ;)
So apparently it's a thing about roosters being self-centered and lazy. I kinda like Elvis, but I kinda like Charles from the Freddy the Pig novels (1st is Freddy Goes to Florida) more.
Minnie and Moo find out that the farmer doesn't want to wear the Easter Bunny suit for the children's party. So they try to enlist the aid of the other farm animals to fill in for him. Silliness ensues. It's a cute story to read aloud with younger children. We've read this one a couple of times.

Cute story of how Moo and Minnie help the farmer out by saving Easter for the grandchildren. Delightful characters! I loved how the turkeys didn't know that bunnies laid eggs.
