and of course, barbie has switched careers in the very next book i read. now she is a 5th grade teacher. one wonders how she found the time/money for both a teaching degree and medical school. she is truly amazing. although, her sisters aren't mentioned in this book, so it very well may be an alternate universe.

the book was kind of boring. barbie inspires a love of science in her class and helps a new girl named jane to overcome her shyness. jane's character development is very forced. shyness doesn't just vanish with a snap of the fingers.

BEST doll dioramas so far. i am a sucker for classroom decor. and ken made an appearance! i swear i used to own the exact oufit he was wearing.

Fairly typical Barbie book, but I like the emphasis on science. Our girls adore these stories and often borrow them from their school library. I'm not a big fan, but typically they have a good lesson or moral.
