İçinde bilim dünyasındaki yeni deneyleri, buluşları açıklayan birer sayfalık metinler var ama onlara getirilmiş farklı bir yorum ya da bir bağlam içerisinde değerlendirme yok. A book I started in 2011 and dipped into over the following months finally completing it on New Year’s Day 2013. This is a collection of hundreds of short articles about scientific matters under the auspices of Dr Chris Smith, aka the Naked Scientist whose podcasts on Radio 5 I have enjoyed for a number of years now. While I am well disposed to the author and his work the highly fragmented nature of the book meant that it did not flow easily and lead to the length of time it took to read this book.

This book was very dated, having been published a few years ago and many of the pieces mentioning dates in the 'future' of upcoming inventions/technology/etc that have now already come and gone. Not a fault of the book, per se, but just affected my enjoyment of it. Also, the writing was done in a rather 'dry' manner which took away some of the interest and enjoyment for me.

Some of the contents were really interesting, but some were too scientific for my unfortunate unscientific mind.
