A Chicago native, Kyle Draper’s creativity and talent for writing first received recognition while in junior high school after receiving several literary awards for his poetry. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing minoring in English Literature. My Own Design is the author’s first collection of selected poems and short stories from the past two decades. This collection is considered “loving, thought-provoking, raw, full of emotions, and clever.” His other works include his well-received first book, Brand New Music. He currently lives in Seattle, WA.
