2007 was a wonderful year for me. Although I have been published by major mainstream publishers, this year I chose to return to the self-publishing arena (Living, Breathing Lies) in order to continue to write the stories I like to write. I am so appreciative of those readers who have continued to read my books despite who my publisher is. I always say, "Never let anyone tell you that you can't; show them that you can." I am about staying on the literary path I asked God to set my feet upon. I hope you, as well, are going about fulfilling your dreams and letting no one bound your mind, soul, or hands.

Also this year, my latest book, Living, Breathing Lies placed as a WINNER in the USA Book News National Best Books Award for 2007 in African American Fiction (USABookNews.com). Do I count this as a blessing? You bet I do.

Currently, I am working on my 10th title, SASSY, due out June 2008.

Please visit me on my website, and please check out my video for Living, Breathing Lies on Goodreads or Youtube.com.

WTF. If you have finished middle school and think 'Flowers in the Attic' is a great read, you will love this. Otherwise, move along.

Some parts of the book was long and drawn out. A novel packed with enough emotion and action to keep the pages turning. Distant Lover covers a lot of territory through well-paced plot and character development. She referenceS another authors book - Mary B. Morrison "Somebody's Gotta Be on Top" which makes you wonder if she knows the author personally. The ending was not a typical one which makes it stand out.

A little more risqué than I'd prefer, but gracefully written. I love Gloria Mallette's style of writing, sultry and honest like Terri McMillan or Mary Monroe. The plot was well thought out. The story line unfolded beautifully. Very entertaining.

37 year old Tandi Crawford's marriage is in trouble, and she ends up running into her old high school sweetheart. The question is will she continue to fight for her marriage, or give it up for her long lost true love. It was a great story, and there were a lot of surprises throughout.

This book was interesting. One part of the ending was very unexpected and it really makes you question your depth of LOVE.
