Everything a girl needs to know about how to survive middle school!
Welcome to middle school! These few years can be full of surprises. Some of them may be awesome while others may be a bit scary, but not to This book has answers to all of the questions every middle school girl wonders about. From what to expect on the first day to dealing with friendships, teachers, upper classmen, and (more importantly) guy drama, the Girls' Life guide to Middle School will give every reader the goods they need to get through the toughest times and enjoy their best moments.
Scholastic sent this to me to review for my Mundie Moms children book review blog, and I'm glad they did. I have some friends who's daughters will be starting middle school and I'd definitely recommend this book to them. It's full of great tips, and advice from those in middle school or former middle schoolers from everything about your first day, to friends, boys, classes, sports and more.
I really like that the book expresses the importance of just being yourself. I think that is a very valuable thing for preteens and teenagers to remember. This book covers everything you need to know about middle school, without over doing it. There's just enough information to cover the concerns a new middle schooler would have and how to relax and enjoy the middle school journey.

Donated by a student during Book Fair week, this quick read is full of helpful tips for middle grade girls anxious about making a transition from the little pond to the big pond. This one is sure to be a winner with my girl readers, but because some of the topics might be better understood and appreciated later in the year, I plan on rolling this one out in the spring.
The illustrations and format are very appealing to the middle school crowd and the information provided was the right quantity and quality for my daughter. Will reread with my younger daughter in a couple of years.
