Prince, Killa-E, Daddy-O, and Danny grew up together in the projects, moving crack and cocaine, and answering to Diego, the neighborhood drug lord. They were small-timers playing for low stakes - until Prince is introduced to a heroin connect. Overnight they go from soldiers to bosses, and their crew is held together by loyalty and love. But taking the reins of power comes at a high price.
Now, with Diego at their back and a traitor in their midst, they find themselves between a kilo and a hard place, ready to spill blood to stay on top.

Also known as Curtis Jackson.

Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975), known professionally as "50 Cent," is an American rapper, songwriter, television producer, actor, and entrepreneur. Known for his impact in the hip hop industry, he has been described as a "master of the nuanced art of lyrical brevity".

Born in the South Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, Jackson began selling drugs at age 12 during the 1980s crack epidemic. He later began pursuing a musical career and in 2000 he produced Power of the Dollar for Columbia Records, but days before the planned release he was shot and the album was never released. In 2002, after Jackson released the compilation album Guess Who's Back?, he was discovered by Eminem and signed to Shady Records, under the aegis of Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records.

With the aid of Eminem and Dr. Dre (who produced his first major-label album Get Rich or Die Tryin'), Jackson became one of the world's best selling rappers and rose to prominence with East Coast hip hop grou

This book was not that great there was no plots, or twist in this story. This is my least favorite book by K'wan

I chosed this book because sternberg told me i would probably like the book. The genre of the would be Hip-Hop fiction. the story tokes place somewhere in New York. the discriptions of the main charecters are Prince= a leader not a fallower likes to have power. Diego= the main coccain dealer of the projects. Daddy-o= he's prince's right hand man. PLOT= In the begginig of the story prince and daddy-o are serving work for Diego. Diego let prince have his own little crew in the projects he lives in. prince is diego's nunber on money maker because he knows how to play the drug game tight. In the middle of the book Prince asked Diego if he can move up the food chain by him be an a boss to. But he knows that Diego would denny him because he's blak. Diego only lets other latin people be on top with him letting them have full controll of the projects they sell their drugs in. Prince also mets a gurl named Marisol and from what i read on the book it was like love at first sight. They eventully will hook up with each other. End= At the and of the book prince got introuble with Marisol's older brether named Cano. He was in the heroin buisness one day he stayed at Marisol's crib and got woken up by Cano. He got taken to a house he never seen before when they got there they took him to the basemant. there was another person there all redy they were both naked. then the people that took him to the house came down and told him why they took him. they were asking for a half of key of heroin wich Marisol's exboyfriend took and never made the money back. prince told them what he did wich was marisol gave him some heroin to sell to see if he can make money. What do you know he made the money back and made profit off of it. The monny witch is Marisol&Cano's mom told him that she was going to give him 2 ounces of hero and she wanted a sertain amount of money back and any extra money he made was his to keep. eventually diego found out what Prince was doing aside his coccain. That diego told him that they were partners now prince didn't like that. days whent by and Prince's work got robbed by some of diegos boys. prince knew who it was so he got his guys together so that they can go get whats their's. they and up killing 2 kids and burnning down diego's house.prince still whats to get diego so him and daddy-o go to his other crib wicht only prince knew about and brake in. They killed like 4 people gurding diego's house they finally got to diego and prince was so close to killing diego. thats when the new guy that diego had hire for security came in and said dont shoot im a DEA agent and Prince put down the wepon and the book ended. The main conflict for prince was when he had to dicide wether to work for diego or cano. the problem i think didn't get resoved because when prince was about to fannaly kill diego the DEA agent walked in. my opinion of the book is that the thing that happen to Prince could happen to anybody thats in the drug game that deep.

This read is cool. I wonder how much input did K’wan provide, because this read is similar to his stories but this story isn’t extremely vulgar as the stories I’ve read so far. K’wan’s reads have been unnecessarily, overly, & overtly crass IMO, of course, so it was a little refreshing to just hear a Hoodtall with no chasers....lol.

Diego and crew have flooded the streets of Harlem with cocaine, and all is well. When one of his men, Prince, decides to step out on his own with a potent supply of heroin, a street war begins. With every war, there are casualties...mostly bodies! This time, snitching is at an all time high, and no one can be trusted.

When I first started this book, I was a little confused. There were a lot of characters and a lot going on, but when I remembered who I was reading AND his writing style, I kept going. Once I got to page 80 or so, the pieces came together, and everything began to make sense! At that point, I couldn't put the book down!

I recommend this 💎💎💎💎 book to those whose haven't picked it up, encourage those who put it down, to pick it back up and salute Crime Novelist @kwan_iamlegend for another job well done!

It’s an intense story with sex drugs and violence. There are moments where a description is so specific and deadpan, and there are moments where it seems things can’t get more graphic. The story begins at the end adding a nuance of morality and fable. The names of characters like the brothers Sticks and Stones elevate the plot to allegorical heights while others names give the story a location and a New York vibe. We are immersed in the setting and also learn a lesson as we view their actions and interactions.

This is a decent story over all. I read it via audible.com - as I do most of my books- and this narrator was TERRIBLE. It was down right painful to listen to him but I made it through. K’wan if you are reading this review, CARY HITE is the BEST NARRATOR for your books! He brings those characters to life in a memorable way. They’re memorable anyways because of your writing but truth is truth and Cary does an amazing job. Now moving on to another K’wan book…

This wasn’t my favorite. I didn’t feel a connection to any of the characters. With this genre, you know you're getting drugs, money, violence, betrayal, sometimes sex, sometimes, love, etc. So the way the story is told is what draws you in, because the plots are pretty much the same with a few variations. This one didn’t do much for me.

Content warnings: Death, murder, drug use, alcohol use, n-word slur

So I've never lived in the streets. Never grown up with that kind of lifestyle. And yet the idea of someone being a snitch is deplorable to me. Particularly to someone who you're good friends with. So the guys who did snitch on their crew I find to be deplorable types of people. I'd rather be friends with an honest drug dealer/gang member than one who's going to turn on me and everyone else the minute something goes wrong. And not only that but add on lies of stuff that didn't happen just to try and make themselves sound better.

This may be because of my past history with people backstabbing me that I thought were friends. Maybe it's just my sense of honour. But whatever it is, it is what it is.

I enjoyed reading this book. Cringed every time someone used the n-word (regardless of the person's race). Still don't get the allure of excessive useage of drugs or alcohol. Actually don't get the allure of the useage of drugs period but whatever works for you I guess.

I'm gracious of the fact that books like this exist that I can read so I can see in an outsider way of what it's like for certain sects of society to live. Also, I get to travel to New York while in my pjs and never having to leave my bed. Which is an added bonus.

All in all this was a very good book and I enjoyed it.

I was surprised how much I liked this book- it seems I've liked all of the books 50's brought out. This was no different and it's the first book I've read written by K'wan I think.
This stayed so true to the real life drama that some people deal with- there are no millionaires that have been hustling for a year, there are no big cartels killing off entire neighborhoods, etc. Most of what is in this book has been lived by people for ages.
I think K'wan did a terrific job and if this is an example of his writing than I plan to read much more from him soon.

In the book "Blow" written By 50 Cent, the author's point of view in this story is first person or third person limited. In the book The author is in the story. The author does not no the thoughts of the other character, however he does tell us about some of the other characters. for example on page 17 it says "E had run with a crew of wild ass Spanish niggas from 106 that had butted heads with the project." That tell us about "E' but it doesnt tell us the thoughts of "E' and its not about the author.I'm actually confused if this book if this book is written in third or first person.

It makes me realize how truley some liuves are different from others, well all lives are different than others. This is one heck of a cautionary tale. Prince thought he was doing the right things by his people but most turned on him in the end. The ones he should have listened to went down with him but I wonder what happened to Sticks. I was hoping that he made it in the end. Who knows.

Jesus this book was an ok story but it really could have just been a short film because it lacked depth. No backstories...just racism and war.
