Relativity for the Questioning Mind

Rate this book
Two themes run through this book. First, that our universe is spectacularly bizarre, and deliciously avoids being bottled up by our common sense notions of how it ought to behave. Second, that even in this, our non-common-sensical universe, observation and reason combine to form a powerful tool — the most effective means ever devised for probing the unknown. The topic that carries these two themes forward is Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity, one of the finest products of human intelligence and imagination.

A remarkable book. I am wiser now, but as always when you learn more, at the same time, you learn how much you don't know ;-) I recommend this really to everyone. All is explained in the simple way. If you know that: speed equals the road divided by time, you will understand the whole book. It may only take you some time. Fortunately, one can always read it a second time ;-)

A very good introduction on Einstein's relativity and how it relates to the world we live in. Note, you need to have a rudimentary understanding of mathematics to understand some of the finer points of the book. It is a good and interesting introduction that helps one better understand relativity.
