Adam Blade is the house name for the Working Partners Ltd. ghostwriters who write the Beast Quest and Sea Quest series.
Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father’s paintings of historic English battles – which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father’s office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.
As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character – Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.
When Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas – until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age… And still does, even though he’s grown up!
When he’s not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets – a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest – Arachnid and Claw.
Sadly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!
A quest series for younger readers. It wasn't bad to start on book 22. There was enough back story to keep me from being completely clueless while still on board with the the adventure. This is definitely a series for younger readers just starting out with chapter books.
The story is well thought out and interesting. The quest has unique requirements of the hero. The main characters are likable and the main animal characters are perfect sidekicks. The story was a bit basic; if for an older reader there would have been more depth to the action.
A good read for young readers interested in the fantasy genre.
I’m giving this the same score as the troll one but I feel that this is slightly better than the troll one, generally I like how in this one there is a bit more death which makes the story a bit more realistic in that sense and plus the fight scene in this one felt shorter and more realistic, generally it is good better than what it needs to be.

Jake's Review: I really like these books because they are easy and fast to read. They are never boring and always have tons of action and no boring girly stuff (Mom's note: that means dialogue in his sexist brain). I Like the powers that Luna uses even though she uses them to do bad stuff. The description of Luna was kinda creepy and I had to leave the book face down so I couldn't see the cover when I go to bed. My favorite characters were the little wolf puppies, although I think its kinda weird that they wanted to play with Tom after he killed their mom. I didn't like how Silver was mean when he was being controlled by Luna. I think my buddy Trevor would like to read this book because it is short and exciting and scary. He really likes the scary stuff, but doesn't like to read a lot. While I was reading it I thought how tough it must have been for Tom to fight Luna when he was so sleepy. Jake's Rating: 10/10
Mom's Review: A good fast paced adventure story for the reluctant reader. There is plenty of action and gory stuff that will keep the boys hooked in this installment of the series. There is a nice message of friendship and about true bravery done in non shmaltzy way that I was impressed with. I like that his friend Elenna is a strong, brave female character who helps Tom along the way. It's nice to see a strong fun female character in books that are definitely geared more to boys - maybe will get through to boys that girls can kick butt too. My only issue in this one is that the character mentioned in the first chapter is never heard from again. Why introduce her, have her go through something scary and than she's never heard from again -- I'm guessing filler or author is just cranking out these to make more cash and doesn't really care about plot holes. Ah well Jake eats these ups and anything that keeps him reading is good with me. Mom's Rating: 6/10
This book was better than the last one that I read. This book was about Luna the moon wolf, a stalking predator in the dead woods of Avantia. Tom and Ellena have to defeat this beast to get the second piece of the amulet to restore his father back to a human, but this means giving up one of his powers. figure out what happens by reading the book.
