You'll know who Joy Adamson is if you remember the movies & books about Elsa the lioness who was"tamed" & cared for by her in Kenya. This biography tells us what Joy was really like. Not a
person with many friends--she alienated everyone near her. Outspoken, rude, jealous, & chasing after any man she thinks is handsome, & intelligent she ends up ruining every relationship she ever has. Married three times. & with countless relationships, none are satisfying for her. Her most well known husband was George Adamson. a naturalist, game warden & lion keeper in Kenya. The two often lived apart due to a lot of jealousness, arguments, & severe physical fights.
Joy was murdered--stabbed to death with an African dagger. She was 70.

Rather a 'warts & all' book on Joy Adamson of Elsa fame and her impact on Kenya and on the Conservation movement. No doubt she would have had a hissy fit about it.
