It all starts with the kid…

Life was better for Logan Cathcart before he crossed paths with nine-year-old Sean Archer. Because now he has to face the kid's mom, Nora. It's not that Logan doesn't like Nora. He does—a lot. Perhaps too much. Even though she's captivated him from the moment they met, socially he and the wealthy widow next door are leagues apart.

Still, keeping his distance is next to impossible with Nora constantly on his ranch, determined to clean up the mess Sean made. With the kind of sparks that erupt whenever she and Logan are within touching distance of each other, there's a whole lot of trouble in Logan's future…the adult, let's-get-serious kind of trouble.

Kathleen O'Brien

Since the day Harlequin bought her first novel, Kathleen has published more than 30 titles with them- everything from hot, sexy contemporaries to dark, brooding suspense. Read in more than 30 countries and 29 languages, she's a five-time finalist for the prestigious RWA RITA Award, a winner of the Maggie Award, and a three-time finalist for Romantic Times' Reviewer's Choice.

Kathleen comes from a family of writers, poets, and journalists- though she may be the one shameless romantic in the bunch. A true Cancer, she values home and family above everything and wouldn't dream of ditching a single friend, memory, gift, or love letter. Consequently, her office is a mess, full of books, colored cut glass, photo albums, Madame Alexander dolls, and a cockatiel who whistles the theme from "The X Files." She is addicted to Mozart and Elvis, Dancing With the Stars, Dorothy Dunnett novels, and sugar-free Popsicles.

I loved the intensity between Logan and Nora. Nora's sons were adorable, but her oldest son Sean had issues that made the story more complex and added depth. It almost broke my heart to see the grief Sean and Harry (the youngest) endured!
The happy-ever-after is hard-won and SO deserved as Nora faces a bitter sister-in-law, her son being bullied by peers and co-workers, and making the decision to move on or not from the loving memories of her late husband's legacy. Texas Trouble is an excellent read for those who enjoy stories of romance, family drama, and happy endings.

Easy read with just no spark or life to it. For a Mills and Boon novel I was left very disapointed. Glad that a neighbour gave this to me instead of picking this book out for myself.

Not too sure I will be reading anymore of this author's books.
