A tale of two childhood sweethearts that grew apart from one another. The characters of Isis and D-Boy on a serious and fearful roller coaster ride. Isis is so much in one character strong and resilient and seductive in one moment and then unsure, vibrant and sympathetic and so much the next. As she grow into adulthood and deals with her severely bad relationships.. prostitution and the harsh realities of life. D Boy character jumps out at you right from its very beginning as he quickly embraces the underground world of gambling pimping violence, promiscuity and incarceration in the small black city of Benton Harbor, Mi.(over run with corruption and violence).

Through their separation in life, there is one thing that never separated them from one another and that is the love they shared for one another. And by chance they'd reunite their hearts with their separate past behind them, but both quickly realizing that leaving problems in the past only make room for new ones. Butterfly Bitch you haven't heard the last from these two characters.

There was a lot of in and out of prison. And a lot of men and women that D-Boy and Iris went through to end up together. But the end was not what I was expecting to happen. But in all a good book.
