The bulk of this book is a list of pieces recommended by the book’s authors for youth or school orchestra ranging from easy (Grade One) to difficult (Grade Six). Each entry gives background information on the composer, the composition, the historical period, the technical challenges, style, and form and structure. A very handy reference book for programming.
