A decent introduction to the field of Political Geography. I enjoyed
the case studies at the end of each chapter that applied the concepts covered to real world events.

The giant negative for me was the format in which the book is written. I can't stand the citation style, primarily because the citations can get to be big and it interrupts the reading flow skimming over them. There were also regular parenthesis throughout every chapter that would link different chapters next to a term which were just distracting. For these kinds of academic works, particularly one with so many citations, Chicago style fits the bill perfectly. It doesn't clutter the main body of text and all citations are readily available at the bottom of the page.

Not a bad text book to use for a Political Geography class, but issues with format and wordiness can get to be tiring.

This book covers interesting concepts with examples and case studies in political geography .For my own research the identity chapter was very useful and interesting ,specially if you need a simple introduction to certain concepts without the use of big words.
