Rather than falling in love with the H/h, I fell ridiculously in love with the baby Sam instead! There were so many cutes scenes with him like when he was frantically holding onto the heroine’s earrings and he was climbed the stairs to look for her that it's hard not to be captivated by his antics. And there were so little memorable romantic scenes involving the H/h because they sniped at each other for 3/4ths of the book.

For half a year, she had been contracted as outside accountant for his fledgling company. As the office emptied out for a Fourth of July weekend, they were left together when a baby unceremoniously landed at the doorstep with a note implicating the hero as the dad. He then shanghaied the heroine to be nanny. Over the course of the four day weekend, she berated him for his irresponsible lifestyle. Her competence at handling the baby really showed him up as a feckless, rich playboy. I highly doubt that anyone could change that much over a weekend so his proposal at the end of the week appeared like another one of his impetuous, hare-brained schemes.

Unconvincing love story.

Ne.
