Mario’s journey began when he boarded a flight from Barcelona to search for a missing teenager in Paris. The author is proud to be chosen as the person who put Mario's story to paper. The story is about Mario's journey and what he encountered and endured. Mario's journey takes him from hope to the depths of suicidal despair. The story outlines the pathway of Mario while on the search for a teenager missing in Paris. The story follows the path of the “Searcher” and the search for the missing teenager. Mario said that, “while it was similar to searching for ‘a needle in a haystack’, it was engulfed in many facets of understanding oneself, and embracing the journeys trials and tribulations while attempting to care for one’s own mental health.” “Sofia’s phone rang, she answered it and continued to walk around the room, nodding her head in acknowledgement of what was being said. I could see the blood drain from her face. Soon a sense of loss became the birth of her crumbling body towards the slouch of despair as she sat down on the sofa....With tears in her eyes she put her hands to the side of her face. Dave Smith (born 1942) is an American poet, writer, critic, editor, and educator.

Dave Smith holds a BA degree in English from the University of Virginia, a MA degree in English from the Southern Illinois University and a PhD in English from Ohio University.

He was a professor on the University of Utah, the University of Florida, the Louisiana State University, and the Johns Hopkins University.
