Jakobis Older has spent all twelve years of his life in the quaint village of Wells' Hollow. He has never ventured far from home, nor has he ever faced any obstacles - save for those typical of a boy his age. Even so, Jakobis has an eye that is quick to spot the extraordinary, and a heart ready for adventure. As darkness begins to cover the village, the Older family, and their friends the Perachs, are compelled to travel to Mount Edo.
