Well, not really, but this should tell you all you need to know about me and my writing style.
I'm a huge Marvel (plus Game of Thrones, Star Trek AND Star Wars) fan, which shows since my novel is loaded with pop culture references. If you are a sci-fi fan (I assume that you are, otherwise what are you doing here?) you will enjoy them tremendously. I even went full Deadpool in my first draft and broke the fourth wall multiple times, until my editor told it was distracting and kept taking her out of the moment. Shame. Those fourth-wall breaks were hilarious. Still, I can guarantee a few laugh-out-loud moments. Case in point: The "good" aliens in my novel are a race of pranksters, whose main goal in life is pulling other people's legs (They have four legs, hence the slight change in the idiom). My favorite author is Jim Butcher (The Dresden Files), which is probably how I ended up writing in a first-person POV with the same light-hearted, funny tone as he does. The fact that my MC's name is Jim is purely coincidental though.
I am a university/college level English teacher, and including Canada, I have lived and worked in five different countries. I have met people from all around the world. Plus, my parents are from a different background, and so is my wife. As a result, diversity has become a major theme in my novel. My characters look like the bridge crew from Star Trek. One of my female characters even impersonated Uhura once, albeit posthumously.

Just keeps getting better and better!
Another book that just captivated me from the beginning and left me speechless and heartbroken towards the end. You get so invested in these characters and feel it when they are killed off and surprisingly even the evil prior characters are likeable now. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Terrific Sci-fi adventure
The latest instalment of the Crimson Deathbringer series is a real action-packed page turner as old enemies come together to fight a new common enemy that threatens to destroy all life in the galaxy.
Humans, Xortaags and the insectoid Akakies must put their differences aside and work together when the Black Fleet of unknown origin suddenly appears, destroying entire civilisations and planets with seeming impunity.
Jim Harrison, the King slayer, General Maada and the Akakies, Tarq, become the galaxie's hope for eventual survival as they join forces against the Volts.
Defeat follows defeat however until they finally concoct a plan that involves time travel that just might save the remaining civilisations of our solar system and beyond
The battle scenes are superbly depicted and there is humour, pathos and tragedy aplenty as the few remnants of the allies prepare for the final showdown with the seemingly unbeatable Black Fleet.
No spoilers from me, but I will say that the book had me hooked, turning page after page as it hurtled at warp speed towards its conclusion, into which the author still managed to insert one final and surprising twisting the tale
I loved it and can't wait for the next book in this excellent series, each one a Sci-fi epic in its own right. Five big stars from me, I loved it.

I have followed this series with anticipation and am not disappointed by the 3rd in the trilogy of the Crimson Deathbringer books.
Here we have all our old friends, and some new, in a thrilling sequel to Books 1 and 2. Jim Harrison is his same swashbuckling self with the beautiful (and pregnant) Ella as a new partner, but never forgetting the love of his life, Liz. He faces a greater menace than ever before, from the future this time. We have Kurt, Cordelia, the Akakies and Vox warriors, Tarq, and mention of the infamous and bloody Battle of Tangaar.
"As two hundred thousand Vox soldiers dashed towards the golden planet - Next stop: Earth"- coming up for all Sean Robins fans who are following the fearless, arrogant, and fun loving Jim - and his new daughter or son? - into the future. As with the previous two books in this series, I found the action sequences convincing and adrenaline-fueled. I like the injections of humor as counterpoints to the galaxy-scale tensions. Robins has introduced stronger thematic considerations in this latest installment, giving readers a lot to chew on after the story is told. Jim Harrison is a likeable protagonist, and Venom and Cordelia are engaging sidekicks. Fans of The Crimson Deathbringer and The Golden Viper will enjoy a return trip to their universe, and newcomers to the series may find it irresistible to binge-read from start to finish.

Once more Earth and their portion of the galaxy is under attack. The force is an overwhelming of 250,000 warships from the future. General Maada’s Vortex planet is destroyed. They have evacuated many and General Maada was rescued by the Akakies, Their leader Tarq realizes his planet is also losing and evacuates as many as possible. He takes General Maada and flees to Earth to connect with Jim, his main pilot from Earth. He says he has a plan, but he really doesn’t. How do you defeat the Vox who are coming from the future with weapons they do not even understand? Is Earth doomed? How will the universe survive if all their planets are destroyed? They do not even know how to go to the future. It’s then that Jim comes up with his plan of going through the Vox “funnel” at a different point in time to take out the Vox planet before they can attack. Genocide becomes their reality also. Will the Earth people they send succeed? It is a last minute death fight with Jim and General Maada finally coming to terms with each other as they prepare to die. Tarq has called in the fighters from the rescued races, but even then they are completely outnumbered. It all depends on those who went through the funnel. Read this exciting to the end battle and judge for yourself.

Wow! This is probably the best Sean Robins' yet... and it's a doozy! You'll for sure need to get this and follow along with Jim, Kurt, and all of the Freedom Fighters, as once again they're called upon to save the Galaxy! As I said in my last review, Sean Robins doesn't hold back or pull any of his punches, and this book is no different!
In The Black Fleet, barely 5 years have passed since the events in Crimson Deathbringer, the first book of this series, and earth/mankind has begun to settle into peace! They're rebuilding both their societal infrastructure and family life that had been so abruptly ripped away at the onslaught of the havoc brought by the Xortaags and the first sighting of the Crimson Deathbringer!
Jim and crew find themselves making uneasy alliances in order to fight a greater evil than could ever be imagined! No matter the cost, the Black Fleet must be stopped!
So grab the audiobook and let a fantastic voice performer (CJ Grey) tell you a story! Or better yet grab the boxed set and prepare to lose yourself in this pulse pounding adventure!

I was saddened by the deaths of most of Jim’s loved ones. This sucks, will he ever have some peace and ride off into the sunset? I’m guessing no since it looks like there is a new book coming soon. I do like the new trio of Jim, Tarq, and Maada, hopefully they can continue to outsmart the bad guys and save the universe.
This book started out well, I got halfway through it and then the darkness of the real world (covid pandemic life) kind of made me have to take a break. But came back and finished it, and actually teared up through the end of it.
I also have to say I much prefer General Maada’s clone to the original.
Looking forward to reading the concluding book!

Sean Robins, I am definitely hooked on your writing now. I loved the way you continued the story of Jim, Kurt, their families and their alien friends. I also love that he is not afraid to kill off some key characters in order to bring realism to his stories. This is how life moves. But it is all done in a very realistic way. Can't wait to read book 4 of this series and to discouver who these new enemies are.

This book is a real rollercoaster. Huge battles, an unstoppable enemy, twists and turns constantly, just when you think you know what is going to happen he turns again. The story is great but tough with some real tragedy, I was a wreck by the end. The characters are strong, well described. A slight hint Sean really puts his characters through the ringer and if you have a favourite you should probably prepare yourself. I am wondering what he will come up with next. Great.

Fantastical!!!
I don't know quite how to describe the twists in this book. Fantastic, crazy, wild and uncontrollable.... How about just a Great and interesting read. I've really enjoyed this series and would recommend it to any syfi fan or fans of Michael Anderle & LMBPN publishing.

Loved this series. It’s been a month or so since I listened to this series. I absolutely recommend this. It was so much fun. The characters were brilliantly written. They were smart, sarcastic and funny. I’d revisit this world if there were ever more books in the series.

Earth is once again in danger and Jim and the gang are called upon once more to save the universe. Good book that moves at a nice pace, as a force from the future comes back to wipe out it's enemies in the past.

After a time of peace another enemy comes to wipe out all carbon based life in the universe, now that is scary. I like home the attacking aliens were able you strike, and how our heroes stopped them. I was saddened by Jim's loss, how much can one man take before breaking. I found out.

Wow. This was a really good read. I am so glad that I started this series. It has been very enjoyable and funny. The science fiction and the movie references are great.

I love to follow all main personnage and some of the twist in the book. But sometime the fate is to much for me.
