When you can’t sleep you start a duology! Definitely 3.5 Nice and fast paced story, definitely check the TWs before reading. I love a great second chance trope and this was definitely cute!

I found this author on tik tok.I was given an arc copy of the book .Sierra and Luke had such hard times.Lies and betrayal get in the way .I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster with them.I can’t wait to read more about their story .I am looking forward to the next book.This author is going on my must read author list .

I just finished and omg I love it 💜 !
Sierra is such an amazing character, she is a strong woman who is determined to do what is right for Kennedy even though it's hard to know that she is making the right choice.
Luke is a wonderful man any woman would love to have in her life. He is caring, sweet and so helpful to those around him. Trevor is a douche bag, he only cares for himself and drugs.
I can't wait to read more about Sierra and Luke!
I hope in part 2 Sierra and Luke are able to get back together. They seem like they would be a wonderful couple and fantastic parents!

I found this author on TikTok and love her social media content. I found the small town romance, second chance romance intriguing and decided to purchase on KU. I love the plot of this book, I do feel it should do really well with YA and contemporary romance genre. I did want a little more from the characters and I am hoping the sequel to the series will give me that growth I’m looking for. I want to know why characters did what they did. We never find out where one character disappeared to do months. Spice is minimal, which is okay, I just wanted more tension. I definitely want and need the conclusion to this story.

I enjoyed this book. Very emotional and angsty.

Sierra is a young woman in an emotionally abusive relationship. She and her 3 yo daughter held back to her childhood home after her husband up and disappears on her.

Like is a Pastors kid and Sierra’s high school boyfriend.

They quickly realise there is still love between them. But Sierra is still married.

Things get even more complicated when Trevor (Sierra’s husband) shows up in town.

Fast paced story but ends on a cliffhanger.

Didn't want to put it down! The friendship between Sierra and Luke is special, and gets tested time and time again. Will it be more, will it die...it's up in the air a lot throughout this book, and keeps you wanting to read more to see where it goes. She's got his heart, but also a horrible husband that will take their child if she tries to leave him. This book is packed with past lies brought to the surface, lives changed because of them, and two people just trying to build their love and life together. But will they get to? That's the question. Such a good read!

Firstly, I want to thank the author for an opportunity to have an ARC.
Overall, this story is cute and a quick read. I would read the next one, but my biggest complaint with this book is that it feels like it ended in the middle of the book. I know that this book will have a sequel, just the ending of the first one seemed rather sudden.
I look forward to reading the next book and seeing how it ends.

This book is just AMAZING! I love all the character’s, I feel like they are my own close friends. Sierra and Luke omg what a rollercoaster of emotions! Then throw Trevor in it holy moly! I’m not a big fan of Trevor, he seems like a complete a hole. We will see in the next book. Ahhhhh I can’t wait!!!

There are so many tropes included in this Duology!

I really enjoyed Luke and Sierra's storyline. It was very emotional and angsty but also beautiful and sweet. If you're looking for a fast paced heartwarming read, I would recommend giving this book a chance.

I didn’t even realize I was at the end when it went to the acknowledgments page and I had to triple check that was it!! I’m so glad there is already a second one because the suspense would kill me!!! This book is so good. Sierra is a young mom who is forced to move home due to her dead best hubby. Trevor abandoned Sierra and Kennedy. She gets back home and starts getting her life on track. Luke is Sierra’s high school sweetheart. They strike up their friendship only to realize they are still in love. Sierra tries to find Trevor so she can file for divorce only to have Trevor show up on her doorstep. He threatens to disappear with Kennedy if Sierra doesn’t take him back. Lots of twists and turns. Luke finds out why Sierra left after high school. This is a must read. Can Sierra save Kennedy? Can Luke get over Sierra and not lose himself??

I'm so glad that I found this author in TikTok and get the chance to read this book. It is an emotional roller coaster but such an amazing story that so many people can relate to in some way or another. The happiness, sadness, and love that went from the beginning of the book all the way to the end was written beautifully. I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens with Luke and Sierra.
