I read two other Fluffy the Classroom Guinea Pigs books, so I thought, oh hell, make it a third book.
And then I quickly remembered why I stopped reading after two books. This was pretty bad. This was a mess in three acts.
Act One was just confusing. Why would school kids make decorated boxes instead of Valentines?
Then, Fluffy had to get a bath in Act Two. Actually, guinea pigs DO NOT need baths, unless it's for medical reasons, such as getting rid of parasites. Guinea pigs easily drown. The kids completely coated poor Fluffy with shampoo.
In the final act, the kids purposefully put a female guinea pig in with a male guinea pig. Since it was a kid's book, no mating occurred, but they fought in a passive aggressive way. The female is picked up by her hind legs, which is a great way to severely injure or even kill a guinea pig.
Yes, I know that this was supposed to be a silly book to encourage elementary school kids to read, but COME ON. Some kids will take this shit seriously, and some poor piggies are going to suffer.

It's Valentine's Day and Fluffy the guinea pig is so excited! Until his class brings him a 'friend' for the day. Another guinea pig named Kiss. She's bigger and meaner than he is, and he doesn't like her AT ALL. How will he make his Valentine's Day better? There are two more fun stories all about Fluffy's Valentine's Day in this book, which are 'Fluffy Takes a Bath' and 'Who Likes Valentine's Day?' This is a really cute book, and great for any animal lovers! Follow @bronteandwilder on Instagram for more fun book recommendations!

My 2nd grade students loved Fluffy! The three stories in this book had them laughing and thinking. They have already asked to read more books about Fluffy!
