A well-written book by the greatest guitar-player ever and the genius behind The Rolling Stones. He’s an intriguing, multi-faceted person and his music is brilliant. This book, unlike many autobiographies that can be rather dry, is a fascinating look into his life and mind.

Has their ever been a greater autobiography by a Rock musician? And you have to admit, Keith Richards is one of the more intriguing characters since the 60s!

I skimmed the boring bits (the drug info became tedious), but the music was fascinating! (Check the re-tuning ideas and early influences.) Keith was the band's backbone and musical drive :)

I have been a Rolling Stones fan across many decades and decided on a whim to dip into this book. The opening chapters of Richard's childhood and joining the Stones were tightly written and sprinkled with humour, but the book soon became mired in details of drugs, sex and rock'n'roll that were repetitive, and I think mattered more to those there at the time than they do to the wider public. Not for me.

So far so good. Haven't gotten too far into the book but found it interesting. I'm sure the rating will improve when I get the book finished.

the Keef's led a ruinous life, and an unfairly trailblazing life, but he's hard to dislike, because as can be seen here he's so sincere and humble about his music and his actions.
