Fails to consider domain management as a play option entirely - thus ignoring a major traditional direction for D&D high-level play - and makes an ill-advised choice to extend the level structure to level 30 when barely any campaigns got close to level 20 to begin with (and the system starts seriously breaking down at around that point). High-level gameplay has always been a difficult subject for Dungeons & Dragons, but across all editions I think this one comes the closest to really nailing the concept, beating down its issues, and giving some really good advice. My current game is just hitting the high levels, and so I'm seeing myself reading this one more often soon.
