Six explorers encounter dangerous animals, including a rare bird, a cobra, a panther, a hyena, and a crocodile, leaving only one explorer, who hurries home
Kees Moerbeek studied graphic design at the art school in Arnhem, The Netherlands, and works as a full-time paper engineer and illustrator. He lives in The Netherlands with his wife, the book designer and sculptor Carla Dijs.
From the pyramid-shaped double-page spreads, hieroglypic-inspired illustrations, and large Egyptian-themed pop-ups, children are sure to be delighted and intrigued by this reverse counting book.

ETA 29 August 2022: In spite of earlier claims that no user data was affected (see https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... ), I discovered today that a Goodreads script merged my Dutch edition *with* ISBN *and* my own cover photo into the English original last month. (A Dutch translation of another book was affected as well, and a script that ran earlier today/last night also merged several editions on my shelves, mainly Charles Dickens, plus merged a boatload of other valid editions with ISBNs.)
I checked my whole computer plus the external hard drives plus my iPad and I can't find my original cover photo anywhere. *&^%$#@!
ETA 10 Sept 2022: Re-added Dutch edition, sans cover. :(
Ray's review: The last one looks funny because he has a smoker in his mouth and because he has sweat coming from his eyes and glasses. His beard and mustache look funny. I would recommend this book for everyone because it is funny.
