One Vampire. Six Werewolves. Fangs, claws, and a lot of bad hair days turn into a reign of terror over the nighttime streets of Denver. Sometimes, when things go bump in the night, its best to bump back. Howl is a series of short fiction pieces which tie the stories of several werewolves, a vampire, a hard boiled detective, and a 15 year old British gutterpunk (who also happens to an archangel) together into a single plot line. Howl is an interesting short novel following several different characters as their lives intersect in the Denver streets. The stories tie several werewolves, a vampire, a detective, and a 15-year-old British gutterpunk together. Guess which one of them is the archangel.

I really enjoyed Howl and how the author, Mr. Wacks, wove the separate stories together to show how one action affected many lives. The short novel was well written and entertaining and I highly recommend it to head to anyone who likes urban fantasy.

An engaging and amusing read. Grim horror paired with some tongue in cheek humor and a slowly unraveling mystery. Looking forward to more...
