Maus: Curriculum Unit

This unit's ten lessons have students participate in large- and small-group discussions; examine the parallel timeline that ties the story together; complete research, Webquests, interviews, and journals; increase vocabulary with cultural and contextual terms; use graphic organizers and literary analysis to sharpen understanding; and work together to create a graphic narrative about a current social justice issue. Supplementary materials include background information, an assessment on Maus I with answer key, and essay questions about Maus as a whole. Grades 9-12. (CFL817)
