Great Read

This was an enjoyable read. This is the fourth book in the Calendar Mysteries series. In this book, Bradley, Brian, Nate and Lucy are on an Easter egg hunt. They find most of the eggs, but have discovered that some have gone missing. They decide to go on an adventure to find out who took them. I find it interesting how each month has its unique word. For example, April is for Adventure, hence the title of the story is April Adventure. Although it is a middle-grade story, I thought it was really cute. I thought the story was short and fun. I thought the characters were sweet and funny. I thought the ending was sweet. I will definitely continue to read this series. I can’t wait to read Book 5. Overall, a great read.

My neighbor, whose kid is my kid's age, recommended the A-Z Mysteries since her son loves them. I got this one not knowing it wasn't an A-Z Mystery but we read it anyway.

Anyway, it was OK. Evidently the characters in this one are minor characters in the A-Z mysteries. The mystery was pretty straightforward, and the book was about 70 pages long. We read it in probably 90 minutes or so over a week. A second or third grader could manage it pretty easily.

Brian, Bradley, Nate, and Lucy woke up to find plastic Easter eggs in their beds. Inside were messages, a scavenger hunt.

They find all the hidden plastic eggs but cannot find the real "golden" eggs. In order to get their prizes they must find the gold eggs.

Soon they find the eggs in a Swan's nest, but how do they retrieve them when the mama swan won't let them get near the nest? They will need help from friends.

The kids are sent by a mysterious person (their old siblings) on an egg hunt that will lead them to helping the swans in the park, all without waking up Brian and Bradley's parents too early (my favorite message in the book). I've now read this one twice with my daughter; the calendar mysteries are a friendly gentle introduction to mystery books.

These aren't my favorite read alouds for kids. I find the writing a little dull. With this one the older siblings set up a Easter egg hunt for the four main characters. Some of the golden Easter eggs are missing. They end up having to search some of the animals near the park to figure out who took the eggs.

This was a nice book. So Ruth Rose Dink and Josh from a to z mysteries, hid eggs for Lucy Bradley and the others. They found all the eggs but the four real golden eggs. They found out the Duck Or I think goose Took the eggs cause they thought they were Eggs real eggs which can hatch. But no it was hard boiled. What do they do

Having read a handful of Roy's A-Z Mysteries, this book was in familiar territory, since the mains are the younger siblings of his previous series. A decidedly lower middle grade storyline involving a seasonal quest. Basically an Easter scavenger hunt.

This book was pretty 👍 but I recommend it for ages 7-9

I liked it because it was a mystery but it is definitely for young children.
It takes place the day before Easter so is a great book to put in your children's basket if they are 9 or younger.

I read the original A-Z Mystery stories when I was a little kid and greatly enjoyed them, I had only ever gotten to the Letter T, so I figured this year I would re-read and actually complete the series all this time later, and I was delighted to learn that Ron Roy has continued on the Green Lawn Mysteries and characters, and gone on with Calendar Mysteries and the A-Z Super Mysteries, which I will get to reading later on.

This series of 12 books focuses on the younger relatives of the Main Characters of the original series, and it's charming and fun to see the adventures they all get up to in this fun additional series.

Mine: The kids (younger siblings to the A-Z mystery characters) are off on an Easter egg hunt. There are clues along the way, but the golden eggs that they are really seeking have seemed to disappeared. They are hidden in the park, but who would take Easter eggs? The snake, the raccoons, the swans? Time will tell and the mystery will be solved.

We loved the A to Z Mysteries and so now we are reading the Calendar Mysteries. We are caught up with the books written so far, so we will patiently wait for the next ones to come out. By the time the series is finished, though, I fear our girls will have grown out of these books. We'll see...

This was an interesting story about an Easter Egg Treasure Hunt. It was a fun story to read aloud and we read it all at one time. Our girls enjoyed hearing about all of the creatures in the park and seeing the baby racoons. They loved the egg hiding under the wooden farm animal chicken.

This series was about four friends that solve mysteries together. It was clearly written and an easy read. This one is about Easter egg hunting. I would recommend this series for all students to explore the possibilities of solving a mystery. The children help one anoher and share with each other. This could be read as a group and then each student could write about their own mystery. Or they good continue with the story of what could happen next.

I liked the story because the kids had to find 12 plastic eggs and 4 real eggs. They stuck together to find all the eggs and succeeded. The 4 real eggs were difficult to get because the wild swans thought that they were their eggs but the snake ate the swans' eggs. So they had to try to figure out a plan. Their plan was to go the farm and ask if they could take one or two eggs from their swans to give them to the swans. And then they got the eggs. After they got chocolate.

These books are really short and easy for me to read, but they're good books they have real mysteries that could happen in your life, unlike the A to Z mysteries, which couldn't happen any random day. It's smart of Ron Roy to write a series of these. I am always so excited to read one of Ron Roy's books.

nate, bradley, and2 girls find a note on each of their pillows. the note says they are going on an easter egg hunt. the last egg they find tells them to find the 4 golden eggs. they can't find them and they ask dink, josh, ruth, rose and they help them find the eggs.

This book is cute, fun, exciting, and very easy to read. My children had already done all of the A-Z Mysteries before starting this series, which I think made this series more fun for them. They are more invested in the characters, especially the older siblings, because of the other series.
