Creative Cooking for Colitis has 25 tips to help you eat without fear. Breindenbach also includes a 'difficult foods' list to help you avoid a flare-up.

The recipes look delicious and look simple enough for the most fatigued person to make. I didn't get to make a real recipe yet, but I discovered an amazing way to make potatoes easier to peel. My household will be much happier to have real potatoes again instead of the box kind. I did make the Hydration Shake, super easy and hey who doesn't want to drink a shake and with a name like Hydration Shake it screams, "good for you!"

I must eat gluten free meals and most of these recipes are easy to adapt or already gluten free.

Did you know you can eat Nachos and Mexican Lasagna? You can if you have this cookbook. Briendbach shows you how! Suffering from colitis herself she understands the desire to eat good food. Her hope is that this cookbook will help bring others dinner time enjoyment.

This book has lots of insightful tips for dealing with this frustrating condition. The one I found the most helpful was trying an addition diet rather than an elimination diet to determine which foods you can tolerate. The recipes are very appetizing.

This book was both heart and hard work. I wrote it to bring hope and joy back into the lives of other colitis sufferers and their social situations. It's so hard to manage the condition of colitis. So easy to become depressed and hopeless. This book is intended to offer a way to eat with joy again, eat with family and friends again, and eat with confidence. Some people need to go gluten-free and/or dairy-free. Others do not. 10 years after writing this book, I've had to go gluten-free. But I didn't before that. Going gluten-free needs to be medically required. It's not a fad to choose because often the restriction of nutrients causes harm. Also, a lot of gluten-free foods have higher calories. Consider wisely with your doctor's help if gluten-free or dairy-free are your best options. As we know, things progress. Please remember each person is unique and may or may not have a need that someone else doesn't have to adhere to in their life. To me, the most important element is the Addition Diet. Colitis strikes people in many forms. Avoid thinking everyone experiences it the same way. May God grant you nutrition to energize you and servant hands to create meals of joy for all who sit at your table.

Creative Cooking for Simple Elegance: Tips & recipes on how to start living & eating confidently again **** by Angela Breidenbach

Creative Cooking covers many areas of cooking, including: tips to create simple, inexpensive and elegant meals....soups....rice dishes....chicken....potatoes....pancakes....beef....Swedish, Mexican and Spanish dishes....sea food....rolls....fruits and more. All delicious and budget-friendly and beautiful color photos. The recipes have helpful tips on cooking, shopping, eating with families, and are colitis-friendly recipes for those who have problems with colitis. Even if you don't suffer with colitis, these recipes are for the whole family. I have not tried any of the recipes yet, but they look to be easy and delicious.

~I won an e-book copy of this book from an audiobook party and the author. I was not required to give a review...this is my honest review~
