Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are!

These books made up so much of my childhood. No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up. I worked my way through them all a couple of times. Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read.

Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful.

I did not like this book because I do not like being bad. I also did not like this book because Little Miss Bad was very bad.

I kind of feel bad for Little Miss Bad, but then again she was really naughty, playing all those tricks on the others. She really did need to learn a lesson. But what are the chances that it sticks?

The story starts with little Miss Bad looking back on her week, at all the bad things that had happened throughout the week. Things such as; Mr Forgetful's car been swan in half , Mr Uppity’s tennis racquet been swapped for spaghetti and the cream in Mr Greedy’s cream bun being swapped for toothpaste. Lots of people were unhappy they wanted to know was who was responsible for all the mischief.
So Little Miss Sunshine thinks up a plan to catch the person responsible. She creates a fake competition to discover the most mischievous, naughty or bad trick played in the last week, whereby the winner would be rewarded with a free holiday. Once little Miss Bad hears of the competition she enters it, and is overjoyed as she believes she has already won.
The competition day approaches and everyone turns up, Little Miss Sunshine explains the rules and states that the first candidate will be Little Miss Bad. Who eagerly approaches the stage and starts telling all her tricks, from the beginning of the week to the day before the competition. Little Miss Bad is so engrossed in telling her story that she fails to realise that the crowd is not cheering her on and that she has being tricked into confessing.
As a child I particularly enjoyed reading these books as I loved the names of the Mr Men and I loved the way in each story someone always got taught a lesson . I used to be fascinated with the pictures and the colours on the pages. In my opinion an appropriate age range would be nursery, because although there are nice bright pictures these books are a little bit wordy so an adult would need to read it to the child. They would be good books to read to a nursery class as the children will be able to identify the various different Mr men and also broaden their vocabulary.

I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.

The 'Mr Men' and 'Little Miss' books are so simple yet so effective. I love the way that all the characters are linked and how characters pop up in other stories!

The books are great for encouraging young children to read because they are interesting, have a variety of simple language and are short enough that young children don't get bored! Children love collecting all the characters too.

Playing around with friend and making jokes etc is very nice thing to do, but causing them troubles and problems is definitely unacceptable, still I enjoy this story and happy that Little Miss Bad learned her lesson.

This book had me giggling! Yes, “Little Miss Bad” is very bad. The things she does to the people in her town. I could never imagine these horrible things, but SHE DOES THEM! These acts are not what made me give this a five magical ball rating though, it was how she ultimately gets caught for doing all these heinous acts. She tells on herself. It goes deeper than that, but I don’t want to spoil the fun of this book. The ending also got a huge chuckle from me and reminded me that Hargreaves created so many characters that oftentimes have similar characteristics at their base. This is another one that the artwork was wonderful and definitely something I can see a child being shown by their parents. I can just see a small child climbing into their parents lap to be read this and the parent smiling as they do. It definitely has that warm fuzzy feel about it. The thing that I enjoyed about this book over the last was that there was a moral in this one and it is very much there at the end of the book. It doesn’t take itself that seriously though, which was also nice. This would definitely be one that I would recommend reading near the beginning of your journey into the “Little Miss” series because it will get you chuckling.

Little Miss Bad, she is known for being very naughty and makes a lot of mischiefs. One day, she messed with the wrong person and the person who got caught did a tournament for the person who can do the worst things, of course, she easily won. When she explained what she did, it was the exact same from what her neighbors are looking the culprit for. She got punished by being forced to clean up her mess. After she learnt her lesson, she stopped being such a bad person, she changed after learning her lesson. She now looks back and thinks she should be more smart next time.

Charmless book.
Story too convoluted for a child to understand and somewhat mean spirited.

Stilted prose makes me think the author used a thesaurus from the 1940's to make it sound authentic.

Not sure what age group this is aimed at but it's not easy to read aloud.
"But how to catch Little Miss Bad, that was the question Little Miss Sunshine was turning around in her head".

The age group that wants these book read out to them won't understand that sentence.

Little Miss Sunshine tricks Little Miss Bad into admitting to all the bad things she did during the past week.

Little Miss Bad has been on quite the spree. Her bad deeds range from pranks to vandalism to serious property damage, and she is extremely proud of herself. Luckily, Little Miss Sunshine thinks up a plan to put a stop the Little Miss Brad’s reign of havoc and make her pay recompense.

Little miss bad got covered with ink because of little miss splendid who is in a book which you might read or no. For instance, little miss slow’s tennis rocket was replaced with spaghetti really. She flooded little miss neat’s house and she made cracks on mr worry’s house
