Some of these are mildly amusing, and he is lucky enough to get some people responding with amusing letters or playing along.

Sometimes though the author's letters just made me squirm, especially when one or two respondents pointed out (very politely) that they had better things to do besides reply to made up complaints.

Maybe it's just me.
