This is a boy's make believe, being a fire fighter. He's fairly detailed, describing how he puts out the fire, saves the family, and rescues the pet. I do find the use of "pet" instead of the more specific "pet snake" to be odd.

I do find the book to be a little banal, there are better firefighter books out there. However, if your kid is really into firetrucks or it's on sale, this will help round out your library.

This was a very fun read. It's an action packed picture book about a fire fighter. It's very informational and gives very good descriptions of the different kinds of fire trucks and a fire fighters routine. The book is very exciting as it follows the fire fighter as him and his fellow firemen save a family from their burning house. The ending has a fun little twist too! I enjoyed it.

This is a short and simple story about firefighters. Although the story centers around a little boy's imagination, the information presented is factual and interesting and helps teach children about a firefighter's job. The illustrations are colorful and fun and the ending is a little surprising and entertaining. Our youngest brought this book home from her first grade class to practice her reading and we enjoyed reading this story together.

In this fantastic children's picture book, it tells the story of a young child who imagines he is a firefighter. He then narrates how a day in the life of a firefighter would be. This book is perfect for young readers who are learning about the daily happenings and the occupation of firefighters. I loved how there were also safety tips in the back of this book that could be used as an extra lesson. This book is ideal for children of the ages 4-5.

A very pleasant fire fighter / fire engine story. It's just the description of fighting a fire from the "fireman's" perspective - which turns out to be a little boy and his toy fire engine.

Okay illustrations.

Finally a firefighting book for my son that features people fighting fires instead of cats or dogs or bears! This isn't mind-blowing, but it is a fine little book.
