This is one of my favorite Jewish books, and the top book on the Omer - trust me, I've looked! I read it once a year, while I'm counting the Omer, and each year it is fresh and brings me new perspectives on myself, the Omer, and how to proceed for the coming year. I don't know how Rabbi Kantrowitz managed to write meditations that are different, fresh, and profound for 49 days - but she's done an amazing job!

Also, if you miss a day, it's not the end of the world and you don't feel that you can't get "back on the wagon" in terms of daily meditations. I would heartily recommend this book to anyone, including people who are interested in converting to Judaism and those who don't consider themselves spiritual seekers - although Rabbi Kantrowitz is a post-denominational Rabbi, this book is perfect for anyone of any denomination!
