A standard in my family. Regional recipes from Maryland's Eastern Shore. Includes original and modified colonial and 19th century recipes. Best pumpkin pie recipe ever...do NOT add the lemon...but a bit more sherry never hurts.

Many of these recipes are from very old manuscript sources. They are sometimes hard to interpret but fascinating none the less. The photographs by the esteemed A. Aubrey Bodine will introduce you to a mid-20th century master.
