This is already the 2nd book by this author that I have read (the first was Left-Hand Power). I had high hopes for this book. But alas. The book itself, of course, is structured wonderfully. The information is beautifully presented in an interesting and understandable way. I resonated with the idea that you need to express emotions through different channels. But when I found out that the author committed suicide at a senior age, I lost confidence in the techniques. It is more of an emotional change as intellectually I understand the value of this book and what it teaches.
I will give it five stars nonetheless.

Although I liked this book at the time and found the artistic exercises very interesting to try, I don't believe they had much of a long term effect on my ability to express emotion.
