Michael Dean was born in Mountain View California in 1976, raised in Tucson Arizona, and now resides just outside of Dallas Texas.

Michael’s adventurous style has led him to start and run a successful small business for the past ten years, as well as writing YA novels and playing music. His passion for music and the pen collided when he was younger, causing him to pick up a guitar and write his own music. That drive led him to starting his own band, getting it played on regional radio stations, even competing in Ozzy Osbourne’s battle for Ozzfest in New York City.

Still just as driven, now he prefers quieter days to himself, thus giving him time to improve on his main passion, writing. Drift, a YA paranormal fantasy, is a bi-product of that alone time. He hopes that when a reader picks up his works, he or she will love it just as much as he did writing it.

Wow! I have been following this series since day 1 and it keeps getting better with every book! The pace really picked up in the 3rd book but with Fate the action and plot twists have been non stop! So many secrets come to light in this book which help to clarify a lot of Leo's past and the past of some of the characters that surround him. I have to hold back on my review a lot because I don't want to leak out any spoilers but I can say this, you will not be disappointed! I could not put this book down! The story line and action was so fast paced it was hard to walk away from. Michael's writing style is clearly evolving with each new release. No real cliffhanger at the end of this installment of the series, but you can feel that something very big is imminent which makes me look forward to the release of the final book even more. Again, this YA series is great for males and females alike. There is enough action and battle/fight scenes to keep boys amused and there is a lot of romance and personal interactions to keep the girls interested as well. Leo is an easy character to love. I'm looking forward to the final book yet at the same time am sad to know the series will be coming to an end. Fantastic job Michael! Keep them coming!!!!
