This is the story of Roger Hargreaves, the creator of the "Mr Men" books. Born in Yorkshire, he began his career in advertising and became a successful copywriter, but he dreamed of writing small books for small children and one day Mr Tickle, the first Mr Men character, was born. Ten years and many books later, when the Hargreaves family had moved to Guernsey, the first "Little Miss" books appeared.
