Interesting book. I don't know how understandable it would be to someone without knowledge of church history, but it sheds some really good light on how the church failed Red River.

The book gave a good argument concerning the potential tension between the Metis and the English half- breeds in Pre- rebellion Red River. THe arguements are sound, especially when arguing that the tensions ran extereme on religion (honestly, when doesn't it?).
