Although he was constantly occupied with work. His unwanted child saw him from a distance. She tried to keep it that way, to no avail he sensed an avoidance barrier. He wanted to know why. One day he walked up to her and asked what was going on. She said she needed to get down below on the sand, and took off. He watched as his baby girl walked out of the water one day. He saw one shoulder was drooping. It was her slight limp of a walk. His mouth dropped open. He said that is my baby girl, "That is my kid". His fellow officers said "Yeah right" Kitt learned to drive on the beach, then race on the beach under his watchful eye. He was Kitt's cheering squad, her mentor, her rock, her father turned uncle. Then on the beach her dad for three straight summers.
