This is an epic story that begins in the English country. A story of a very wealthy man who had a lot of sweet times and times of bitterness in his native England country and in the “New World” also. The story travels through nine generations of the Westchester family. The wealthy family leaves their homeland after a tragedy in the family and they set sail for the “New World”. A coming storm puts them off the overloaded ship in a place unknown to them. There are two large sea chests of gold that Sherman Westchester brought with him to the “New World” and the location of the secret hiding place was to be passed down to each generation. The story tells of how one member left something behind that saved the family bloodline. You may cry or you may laugh while reading these nine books of this series that goes through the American Civil War to the Vietnam War. You will find that life is not all “sweet” it also has “bitterness” too. As you read volume 7 of this series Joseph has died and Josh his Son Josh takes over the farm. Josh and Lori, his wife gave Joseph two Grandson's to carry on the family's name. There are so many changes that happen on the plantation which makes Josh wonder about continuing the bloodline of the Westchester or as later known, the West family. He doesn't want to be the one to break the bloodline of the Westchester family.
