Madison Julius Cawein was known as the "Keats of Kentucky" for his descriptions of Kentucky that echoed the language of John Keats and Percy Bysshe Shelley. He wrote thirty-six books and over 1,500 poems.

He was buried in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Just the thing I was looking for, not all of the monologues suitable, but on the whole ok for my purpose.
